ANA Business Class Lounge Review – Tokyo Narita (NRT)
It’s always a treat to experience an international airline’s flagship business class lounge as they usually roll out all the stops! Japan’s ANA doesn’t disappoint in Tokyo!
ANA showcases their hospitality, cuisine and service in their Business Class Lounge at Narita, the airline’s main hub in Japan.
Here is a review of my recent visit:
A mass of passengers move through this lounge on a daily basis – and there’s plenty of seating to accommodate them. I actually arrived during a bit of a lull in the ‘traffic’ – but it soon got busy.
There are several rooms in the lounge – but for me the best one was at the front – with spectacular views of the tarmac and runway. I loved watching the plains come and go!
ANA Lounge Food
This lounge has fantastic food! There was a buffet of scrumptious Asian and western choices including salads, sandwiches, stir fry, and sushi. The chicken appetizers were fab (of course they were: they’re deep fried!).
ANA Lounge Beverages
If you are seeking sake – the ANA Business Class Lounge has plenty to sample! There’s an ornate mini tasting bar, with descriptions, set up near the rear of the lounge. For beer lovers, there’s self-serve machines dispensing the local draft favorite – Asahi.
The selection of spirits was limited for an international lounge – but they had all the basics covered.
I ended up going for the French Chablis which was crisp and tasty.
ANA Lounge Showers
The ANA Business Lounge at Narita has splendid shower facilities: modern and slick.
I particularly enjoyed sampling the bath products in the overflowing basket of amenities. It looked like a Shiseido truck exploded with various packs of lotions, emulsions, and potions on hand!
I saw something I have never seen in a shower facility: A clock! How thoughtful – no more worrying about what time it was while in the fog of an international transfer. A brilliant idea.
ANA has a fantastic home-base lounge at Narita. Make sure you allow some time to enjoy what it has to offer: great food, local libations, and relaxing showers…on top of spectacular tarmac views!
A great place to start your transoceanic journey – or to spend some time between flights!
