Hotel Zeppelin San Francisco Review – Cool, Cheap, & Chic! (SFO)
It’s easy to break the bank in San Francisco when it comes to hotels – especially if you are looking for something that’s hip and centrally located.
My heart skipped a beat when the Hotel Zeppelin popped up in my browser for less than $200 a night in a single – in Union Square! For the uninitiated that is a bargoon in San Francisco!
If this place worked out – I would have extra funds for some fine dining in this gourmet capital!
Here’s my review from a recent stay:
I knew that I was in a cool place the minute I entered the lobby! The Zeppelin was dripping designer style from floor to ceiling!
Perhaps I was on set for a Vogue photo shoot?
Massive oversized portraits – art installations behind the bar – illuminated communal tables – and mid century chandeliers. I was at home (or at least in place I would like to call home!).
The celebration of design continued in the room.
White and dark elements were punctuated by contemporary art pieces – some really imaginative ones! I felt like I was sleeping in a gallery!
Mod lighting, chairs and desks topped off the cool vibe in the room. The person who put this together deserves some recognition!
The piece de la resistance in the room was the luxe Nespresso coffee machine! Had I died and gone to fashion heaven? I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to pry myself from this hotel and explore the rest of San Francisco!
After peaking in the bathroom – the fate for this hotel was sealed: It was definitely a bastion of hipness!
A walk-in shower with a pebble stone floor, retro 70’s wallpaper and deluxe Roil bath products – Who could ask for anything more?
The Zepplin is a designer gem! And the price is right for San Francisco. Frankly, I don’t know how the hotel does it for the prices they are charging!
I loved the art, style, and vibe that the Zeppelin emoted. I will be back!
