Hi There!

Welcome to my blog.

I love cities - glam - airlines  -  and photography.  All of the images on this site were taken by me on my travels around the planet.

I can't wait to have you come on some of my adventures!

Brussels Airlines: The Loft Business Lounge Review – Brussels (BRU)

Brussels Airlines: The Loft Business Lounge Review – Brussels (BRU)

What a change from the previous Brussels Airlines facilities at Brussels International Airport!  The new Loft Lounge is spectacular, airy, and has tons of amenities.

In the past, I avoided BRU due to its sub-par facilities...well not anymore!

Here’s a review of my recent visit to the lounge:

Seating

I arrived with the wave of morning flights – and there was plenty of seating for everyone.

The middle of the lounge had what I call ‘school-desk-seating.'  Each person had a separate table with enough room for a laptop, snack, and mimosa!  I loved this feature as many lounges today pack you into communal tables.

I also lusted after the mid-century inspired seating. All of the chairs in the lounge were cool and coordinated.  With leather fronts and white backs, they looked sharp and gave the venue a mod feel!

Food & Beverage

There was plenty to eat and drink.

Breakfast featured a complete selection of cheeses, prepared meats, yogurts, eggs, and cereals.  More than enough to get you started for the day!

It was five o’clock somewhere in the world when I arrived – so there was a full spread of wines and cocktails on hand.  They even had draft Belgium beer selections for travelers who wanted to sample the fantastic local offerings.

Sleeping Pods

I don’t have a picture of this – but the Loft Lounge has six sleeping pods in a relaxation room.  Something right out of a space movie!

They were heavenly.

Each one was behind a mini-partition and felt completely private.  Equipped with a blanket Brussels Airlines supplied, I snoozed for about an hour before I popped into my shower.

Showers

I loved the showers in this lounge.  They were mod, spacious, and bright.  The two best features:  the rain nozzle and the trio of aromatic soaps to suite your mood. I emerged energized for the rest of the day!

This is a hip spot to relax and recharge between flights at Brussels International.

I love what Brussels Airlines has done with the place.   They clearly invested a lot of money and it shows.

I can’t wait to my next transit at BRU!
