Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge Review Hong Kong – HKG
Singapore Airlines has a compact lounge in Hong Kong that’s an exclusive, upscale escape from the airport’s hustle and bustle. It has many of the signature elements of a regular Kris Lounge – just on a slightly smaller scale.
The highlight in this glam outpost is always the food and beverage offering.
Here’s a review of my recent visit:
I was there during the busy time for this lounge, which is always the early morning (they serve an arriving flight from the USA and two departures to Singapore). However, there was still plenty of (varied) seating.
Singapore has something for every seating mode: dining, relaxing, socializing, and work! I am always impressed with the diversity of chair stock in their lounges.
My favorite is always the work booths….a cross between a library reading carrell and something you would expect to see on the Star Ship Enterprise!
The only draw back – there’s no window seating. In fact, there are no windows since the facility is located in the lower level of the airport.
This lounge always showcases a fantastic spread!
For breakfast they had all the regular items (pastries, eggs, yogurts, etc). On top of that though, they featured a full salad bar, dim sum, savory snacks, and sandwiches. I did not leave the lounge hungry – especially after sampling the Asian breakfast treats.
Luxe Alert: Singapore Airlines serves Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial in this lounge! Most airlines only make it up to the Prosecco level when it comes to bubbly! Don't miss this opportunity to put your journey into glam overdrive with a glass of this gem!
The other beverage you have to try is their fab espresso. Seriously – their coffee is fantastic. Even the toughest java connoisseurs from France and Italy would be pleased! I’m not sure if it’s their Jura machine or their beans – but the end product is probably one of the creamiest, smooth, espresso’s I’ve ever had.
The lounge has only two shower rooms – so make sure you put your name down for one of them as soon as you arrive.
The facilities are striking. Covered in either marble or granite (or some kind of stone that looks expensive) each shower has water jets that can shoot from four different directions! This was something new for me. Nothing escaped the hose down!
I emerged refreshed and ready for my trans-pacific flight!
This is a great lounge that lives up the luxury standards of Singapore Airlines.
It has great food, drinks and seats. The only thing missing is a view!
