Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel Review - Stockholm (ARN)
What a fantastic location! Basically on top of Central Station in Stockholm – AND - next to the waterfront. You couldn’t get a better home base to explore the city than the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel.
The hotel wins extra points for being trendy and cool – it’s a fantastic place to set your head down in Stockholm.
Here’s a review of my most recent stay:
Check-in was efficient and speedy. The front desk personal were super friendly and helpful - making sure I knew how to navigate both the hotel and the city.
I loved the design of the reception area. It felt a bit like a Daniel Libaskin building with it’s intersecting lines and incongruent shapes.
Off to the right was a hip bar stocked to the rafters with every libation imaginable. I didn’t have time to sample any – but the place looked totally cool.
Scandinavian mod all the way: The furniture, lighting and fabrics all screamed Sweden. On top of this there was plenty of space – something that is rare in most European hotels.
The love affair with roominess continued into the bathroom – with a huge walk-in, slate shower.
If you have a Viking appetite – the breakfast buffet at the Raddison Blu Waterfront Hotel is sure to put a dent in that!
I was simply awe struck with the amount and variety of food on offer: eggs, cheeses, fruits, smoked meats, yogurts and of course a mountain of pastries. If you leave this place hungry – you need to see a doctor!
The star dish: Swedish pancakes with loganberry compote.
I was only at the Raddison for a couple of nights - but I could have stayed a month! I loved it’s cool design, location – and breakfast feast!
I will definitely be back…once I can fit into my size 34 pants again!
