Hi There!

Welcome to my blog.

I love cities - glam - airlines  -  and photography.  All of the images on this site were taken by me on my travels around the planet.

Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin Review (DUB)

Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin Review (DUB)

If you are looking for a well-situated, funky hotel in Dublin— clock-in at the Radisson Blu Royal!

Situated directly behind Dublin castle, it’s close to all the sites and sounds that draw visitors to this city in droves: Temple Bar, Trinity College, and the aforementioned castle.

Here’s a review of my recent stay:

The Room

This hotel was not inexpensive by any stretch of the imagination.  However, it's worth every penny - especially if you're looking for space. The rooms were massive – even by North American standards.

Mine came equipped with a King Bed and a sitting area – and there was still tons of space to spare.  The room had a hip décor with bright fuchsia and lime green accents.

The bathroom was equally huge.

It had a separate walk-in shower and tub area that allowed one to spread out!  I only wish my bathroom back home was as big – or as mod!!

The bath products were from ‘thisworks.’   They're excellent, but after seeing them in every single Raddison (except the Kenilworth) I only wish they varied up the ‘flavors’ on offer throughout the chain.

The crowning touch -  the riche in-room Nespresso coffee maker.  It’s always a thrill to find one of these treasures in a hotel - -and I always make sure it gets fully utilized.

Breakfast

The Radisson Blu Dublin put on a comprehensive spread for breakfast. Traditional Irish and European favorites were offered on an extensive buffet.

The place was pretty busy the mornings – but there was PLENTY of food.  It was a great start to the day – and I really wasn’t hungry until dinner!

The Bar

The hotel has a large lobby bar that's equipped with massive couches to sink into.   Understandably they had a wide selection of Whiskies – and the bar tenders were well versed in their Irish spirits!

My Verdict

Glam in Ireland does not come cheap – but if you are looking for something hip in Dublin that is located close to all the sites this is the place for you.  I loved the ambiance and overall feel for this property!

Radisson Blu are normally slick – and their property in Dublin doesn’t dissapoint!
