The Pearson Airport Express Review - Toronto (YYZ)
Torontonians are buzzing about a new way to get to the airport: The Pearson Express. It launched during the Pan Am games – and has become extremely popular (…once they dropped the fares). I recently had the pleasure of using this service– and here is my review:
For $9, I jetted on the Express between Toronto and the airport. (If you don't have a Toronto Transit Card it's still cheap: $12). Compared to a taxi - this was a complete steal. Getting a ticked was simple. I used an automated vending machine, but there were old-fashioned ticket counters with humans available as well.
In less than 25 minutes, the train streaked between the airport and Union Station in downtown Toronto – where it was easy to transfer to the subway, regional and metro trains. The Express made two stops along the way – one at Weston and one at Bloor. The stations were mod and had an airport-glam vibe to them.
The Pearson Express had sleak, comfy seats with plenty of room and built in amenities. They are actually quite futuristic. Each one came equipped with a table and charging outlet (for a trip that is less than 25 minutes!). Free Wifi was available – so I was connected for the entire journey
This was a fantastic-quick way to transfer between the airport and Toronto.I loved the cabins – and would certainly use this service again. Cheap – Hip – Connected
